There are many graphs of global warming that show the warming trend of the earth’s temperature. These graphs come from a variety of resources but all tend to show the same data. The difficulty with these graphs is that most average people do not understand the graphs and rely on their interpretation of the scientists who present them. Should the common man fear the global warming issue or is it an unfounded crisis that has become a worldwide political issue? For people to make a decision they need to become informed and able to interpret all the data that is presented.

As the push for alternative energy sources continues, there is added interest in using solar energy to produce electricity and heat. Everyone understands how the sun’s energy produces heat, providing thermal energy and now there is a greater understanding of how photovoltaic cells can convert solar energy into electricity. It is the use of solar panels to produce electricity that holds some of the better promises of using the sun’s energy as a renewable energy resource.

As research continues on the viability of using the sun to provide electricity, new technologies in designing the solar panel are continuing to reduce their cost as well as their portability, making them more efficient and offering a better value. All photovoltaic cells, which convert energy from the sun into electricity are housed in what is termed a solar panel and depending on the size of the panel and the number of cells they contain, power can be produced to energize a whole house to several houses connected to the solar power system.

For several years, getting the facts about solar energy may have been difficult as the information was sketchy and high technical in nature. Translating much of the information in plain language was not high the list of priorities and many were left in the dark with the facts about solar energy. What was not known was often speculated and people blamed traditional power companies for keeping the information quiet for fear of losing business to the sun.

There are many facts about global warming which are discussed and debated among the “experts”. Most scientists can agree on general evidence supporting the basic facts about global warming, but as some argue that these changes have come about due human causes, some argue that this is a natural course of the earth’s evolution.

As interest in solar power continues to increase, many people are finding uses for the technology and experimenting with ways they can benefit their lifestyle while reducing the cost of electricity. A solar mini panel can be used in small appliances such as outdoor pathway markers, eliminating the need to bury electric cables underground as well as eliminating the potential shock hazard to children and pets.

Although the manufacture of solar panels is done in a strict quality controlled environment, for experimental purposes you can build your own solar panel to see how the sun’s energy can be converted to electricity. While the most efficient panels are made with silicon, you can build your own solar panel by using cuprous oxide, a material known to cause light to be turned into electricity. You probably cannot go into a store an buy cuprous oxide but you can duplicate it on a thin sheet of copper.

There is evidence of global warming around the world, and this evidence of global warming makes many people worry about the future. This important subject is debated and discussed more and more by everyone . Some of the discussion on the evidence of global warming takes place in casual conversation around dinner tables, while other discussions about the evidence of global warming take place in formal conferences with delegates from many different places around the world or on radio and television programs.

Solar energy is in the news and it is something that sounds good since by using it you are able to save on paying expensive energy bills, though not everyone may be attuned to what is solar energy and who would thus need to learn about it in as simple terms as possible. The simplest answer to what is solar energy is that it is a means whereby rays from the sun are captured and either stored, or converted into energy and maybe even into heat.
